The Facelift (Update)
WowHumor has been given a makeover, a face-lift of sorts. As you can see the layout has been re-designed entirely. I’ve taken the website back to it’s original colour scheme (a dark-themed layout with yellow and blue features). I’ve also tried to add a few things to make the layout seem more Warcraft-ish.
You’ll also notice the return of the sidebar. It’s not just the design that’s undergone changes but also the back-end coding. The entire system has had a complete overhaul (which is to say we’re now using a different system) and should be much more user-friendly and cleaner to use. More features are listed below.
Patch 3.0 Release Notes
Those Goblin Engineer’s have been hard at work remodeling, designing and repairing the rusty and old interface. After many tweaks and tinkerings, as well as the odd explosion here and there, the Engineer’s think they’ve finally fixed it! As with all Goblin Engineering, mind what buttons you push, some may end up in a nasty result!
The Gnomes didn’t want the Goblin’s to have all the fun and have also gotten in on this deal! But instead of working on the visuals they decided to straighten out all the wires at the back, and boy were they tangled up! With their ingenuity and intelligence they’ve reorganized the way the back-end data servers work.
In an attempt for the races of Azeroth to socialise more both the Alliance and the Horde have set up a new system known as “The Blogga”. The Blogga is a way for both factions to keep in touch with their fellow allies and inform them of the latest news, rumours and war stories from across the globe! The Blogga can be viewed on the front of the site.
A forum has been added to the website in an attempt to gather a community base for WowHumor. This forum’s login, as well as the website login, have been merged into one entity for ease-of-access. You will only need to sign up once and you will gain access to all features within both site and forum.
The ratings system has been altered so that you only have to be registered on our forums to vote. Members are also now able to post their feedback directly on blog posts.
The videos section is still currently under construction and more news on that will be presented at a later date. Look for related articles on that in the future. Update (7/09/2009): The Ratings System now works and registered users can vote on images (visitors can only rate blog posts). The site/forum integration is still being worked on, however.
